1. Split-horizon -- What ever the information that we learn from the neighbor we are not going to advertise back to them.
2. Route Poison -- If a particular information is removed from the routing table, concerned router advertises that information with infinite metric (In case of RIP, metric as 16). so that the neighbor will not update that information and it will help to avoid loops in the network.
3. Poison Reverse -- Acknowledgment to the Route Poison. It overrules the Split Horizon.
